Luc
started his company from his garage in the
mid-nineties with one truck. Luc would buy
one four kilogram bag of frozen meat, repackage
it into two kilogram bags, sell them door
to door and use the revenue to buy more
meat.
Door
step by doorstep, Luc's built Gourmet Secrets
into a take off success story. Today he's
doing nearly 4 million in business annually
and has a fleet of salespeople representing
his company.

The
total retail market for all ready-made dinners
and entrees was approximately $860 million
in 2000.

There's
a big market out there for high quality
frozen food, but the customers need to trust
that the food items are indeed high quality.
The supplier and the sales people are critical
to this trust factor.
Direct
selling in Canada generated an estimated
$1.3 billion in sales in 2002.
Luc
works very hard to motivate and support
his team. They also have a lot of sales
promotions, such as entering customer names
for a monthly draw. Luc sells his high quality
goods on consignment to his salespeople,
who market it door to door to customers.
