If you're on the gift list for entrepreneurs Stacey Corriveau and Brenda Pierce, you can count on some "family" bars in the gift basket.

Their homebiz start up is Pure-Elements, a line of natural soap and body products. When their handmade soap doesn't make the cut for retail use, they give it to family and friends instead!

All Brenda and Stacey heard when they started up was doom and gloom about an overcrowded soap market with little chance of success.

Their winning formula? One hundred percent natural products, top quality packaging and big trade shows to attract retailers.

Materials and supplies make up 87% of total costs in soap manufacturing.

All their production is done in the basement of Brenda's parents' home. And when there's a big order, everyone pitches in to meet the deadline.

Of course, they get paid in soap. It's all 100 percent natural, which is a big selling point for Pure Elements.

A soap-like material found during the excavation of ancient Babylon is evidence that soapmaking was known as early as 2800 B.C.

As most people know, part of making money in business is cutting costs wherever it makes sense. Stacey and Brenda really shop around for the expensive high quality natural ingredients used in their products. They set their own prices accordingly as well.

Brenda and Stacey surpassed a recent Circle Craft trade show goal of ten thousand dollars with total sales of nearly twelve thousand, dollars.
